Padraic White
Chairman
The former Managing Director of the Industrial Development Authority (IDA), Padraic is Chairman and Director of several private companies and is also Chairman of a number of public sector enterprise committees. He was instrumental in the establishment of the Dublin based Northside Area Development Partnership. He is a regular contributor on economic development matters in the national media, and author of the much-respected book on the phenomena of "The Celtic Tiger". He brings to Certification Europe a wealth of experience encompassing both the public and private sector.




Thomas Cooke
Non-Executive Director
A founding Director of the company Tom has his own private corporate consultancy company, TCA Associates specialising in advising and establishing companies in the environmental and renewable energy sectors. He is also a Director and shareholder in several technology companies specialising in bio-organics, energy storage, wind energy and biomass.

Prior to forming his own corporate advisory company in 1988, Tom previously worked with Price Waterhouse Coopers and with the Industrial Development Authority (IDA). He is a Business Studies graduate of Trinity College, Dublin.




Michael Brophy
CEO

Michael is a graduate of the University of Ulster and the Universidad de Zaragoza, Spain and completed a Masters in European Policy and Regulation at Lancaster University in the UK. He was a founding member of the Centre for Corporate Environmental Management (CCEM) at the University of Huddersfield in the UK where, as a Research Fellow, he lectured for three years in the School of Business on various management standards. Michael is one of Ireland's leading authorities on standardisation and has also served on various EU Commission committees as an expert in information security and electronic signature standardisation.




John Ryan
Commercial Director
A graduate of National Univesities Galway (B.Sc. General With Distinction) and Dublin (PhD), John began his career as a tutor within third level education and subsequently as a management system consultant to a range of commercial clients in Ireland. With particular expertise in environmental issues and standards he is a member of the Irish Environmental Standards Consultative Committee (ESCC) an external examiner (to the Institute of Technology Sligo) and an expert to the European SME representative group - UEAPME. A leading authority on energy management systems John had worked with clients and spoken internationally on this topic. An advocate of the importance of small businesses in society, John is a Director and Vice-Chair of ISME - Ireland's only independent SME representative organisation.
