ISO 20000 IT Service Management ISO 20000 Accreditation
"At the start of our journey towards ISO 20000, ISO 270001 and ISO 38500 we were very clear on what we wanted from our auditor, not just a box ticking exercise, an organisation that would support our aims and values and engage with our technical teams in a manner fitting our culture and maturity.

Certification Europe was a clear leader throughout the selection process, and two years on they have met all our aspirations".

ISO 20000-1 Accreditation

Certification Europe is accredited to audit and issue certificates for ISO 20000-1. This means that Certification Europe has the authority, expertise and knowhow to go into organisations and assess them against the requirements of ISO20000.

Only certification bodies can be accredited for a standard. As an accredited certification body, Certification Europe then certifies clients when they have successfully met the requirements of ISO 20000-1. It is a common misconception that organisations think that they can become ISO 20000 accredited.

ISO 20000 Accreditation Bodies

Accreditation bodies audit the auditors. They give the certification bodies the authority to go about certifying other organisations. Certification Europe undergoes periodic assessments by our accreditation bodies, INAB (Irish National Accreditation Board), UKAS (United Kingdom Accreditation Service) and APMG International.

ISO 20000-1 Certificates

A Certification Europe ISO 20000-1 accredited certificate will be recognised globally by any level of organisation. If a certificate was issued by an unaccredited certification body then this will hold little credibility.
