Certification Europe is an Irish based, internationally focused certification, training and inspection body. Headquartered in Dublin, we provide audit, certification and training services in the fields of Quality, Environmental, Health & Safety, Energy Management, Information Security Management, IT Service Management, TickIT and E-signatures (EU Directive).
We are accredited by the Irish National Accreditation Board (INAB) and by the United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS).
Offering an independent, impartial and confidential certification service, we do not act as system consultants, provide system implementation or give product endorsements.
We offer certification to the following international management system standards:
Quality Management (ISO 9001)
We conduct audits and issue certifications for quality management systems compliant with ISO 9000:2008. Our assessors are highly experienced and qualified. In addition we have particular expertise in the assessment and certification of software development business specifically with the TickIT scheme.
Environmental Management (ISO 14001)
We became the first private company to be accredited to certify ISO 14001 in Ireland under IS EN 45012 and EA 7/02 in December 1999. Our experience in environmental management systems dates back to the early 90's. We have a unique insight on the environmental problems and legislative challenges facing businesses today.
Health & Safety (OHAS 18001)
Health and Safety is major issue for many organisations who need to be aware and comply with legislation together with implementing good working practices. Our certification services include benchmarking systems to the OHSAS 18001 standard. We employ knowledgeable and experienced assessors to conduct health & safety system audits and provide certification.
IT Service Management (ISO 20000-1)
An IT Service Management System ensures the effective running and delivery of IT services to your clients. Certification to ISO 20000-1 has become a basic business requirement. It allows the company using the standard to operate in line with best international practice and minimise delivery risks.
Information Security Management Systems (ISO 27001)
Information Security has become a complex challenge and a priority issue in many organisations. By default, it is a responsibility that resides with the IT manager but it is really an issue which employees at all levels within an organisation should be involved. A common mistake is to promote hardware and software combinations, such as firewalls, as a corporate solution. Such solutions cannot provide the necessary safeguards in the absence of procedures, controls and a defined security policy.
The ISMS standards take a broad approach by addressing information security on an organisation wide basis, identifying all internal and external risks and requiring properly documented controls and procedures.
Secure management and control are vital to a company's survival and its long-term relationship with customers, shareholders and partners. Our certification process allows client companies to identify relevant threats and risks, and initiate appropriate controls using best practice and compliant with the Irish (IS0 27001) or British (BS 7799) standards.
Business Continuity Management (BS 25999)
Creating and successfully operating a strong BCM response capability allows your business to demonstrate its preparedness when faced with a disruption. Whether large or small, multinational or indigenous, manufacturing or service, a Business Continuity Management System (BCMS) certified by us will provide your organisation with significant advantages.
Energy Management (IS 393 / EN 16001)
Arguably the cost most concerning all businesses, the aim of IS 393 / EN 16001 is to put in place internal processes to achieve reductions in energy use. The standard is complimentary and can be integrated with other management system standards. Along with other significant benefits, certification to this standard will generate bottom line savings on energy costs.
Electronic Signatures Certification
We provide public accreditation/certification for organisations (CA's and CSP's) using PKI systems wishing to demonstrate compliance with the EU's Electronic Signatures Directive and the Electronic Commerce Act 2000.
Our e-signature certification scheme is based on a combination of legislative requirements, relevant international standards and best practices. It is designed for organisations using PKI who wish to issue qualified certificates and demonstrate that the resultant electronic signatures will have legal recognition in any European court.
Through liaison with the European Accreditation Forum (EAF) and participation in EU Commission committees on the subject we anticipate that our e-signature certification scheme will be recognised and applicable throughout all fifteen Member States.

AIC Inspection
We were the first and are the only fully independent Accredited Inspection Contractor (AIC) accredited by the Irish National Accreditation Board as an inspection body.
