Padraic White
Chairman
The former Managing Director of the Industrial Development Authority (IDA), Padraic is Chairman and Director of several private companies and is also Chairman of a number of public sector enterprise committees. He was instrumental in the establishment of the Dublin based Northside Area Development Partnership.

He is a regular contributor on economic development matters in the national media, and author of the much-respected book on the phenomena of "The Celtic Tiger". He brings to Certification Europe a wealth of experience encompassing both the public and private sector.

Michael Brophy
CEO

Michael is a graduate of the University of Ulster and the Universidad de Zaragoza, Spain and completed a Masters in European Policy and Regulation at Lancaster University in the UK. He was a founding member of the Centre for Corporate Environmental Management (CCEM) at the University of Huddersfield in the UK where as a Research Fellow, he lectured for three years in the School of Business on various management standards.

Michael is one of Ireland's leading authorities on standardisation and is a member of the National Environmental Standards Consultative Committee (ESCC) and an Irish Delegates to the International Standards Organisation (ISO). He has also served on various EU Commission committees as an expert in information security and electronic signature standardisation

Dr. John Ryan
COO
A science degree graduate of University College Galway (B.Sc. General With Distinction), John began his career as a tutor within third level education working in the Dublin Institute of Technology and University College Dublin while pursuing a doctorate in industrial microbiology from University College Dublin. He worked as Environmental Manager in Smurfit Paper Mills, Dublin where he implemented the international environmental management system ISO 14001.

John moved to the general environmental consultancy field in 1997 as a Director and senior consultant with EMA International Ltd., a leading Irish environmental consultancy. John is a certified environmental auditor John and within Certification Europe has responsibility in developing the client base of the company specifically in the areas of Quality, Environment and Health and Safety.

Clive Nightingale
Lead Auditor
Clive is a vastly experienced and well known figure in the area of standards and auditing, both in Ireland and internationally. He is a qualified lead auditor in ISO 9000 and in BS 7799 / ISO 17799 and also is a highly respected speaker and trainer these fields. His background also provides specific knowledge of the software industry (including TickIT auditing) and he has been to the forefront of Certification Europe's success in that market .

Within Certification Europe Clive is responsible for the development of the client base in the field of quality (ISO 9000) and his current client base extends to Ireland, UK, Europe, India and the USA.

Gerry Kelly
Finance
& Business Development
Gerry joined Certification Europe in August 2000. Immediately prior to this appointment he was a registered Stockbroker, holding the position as Executive Director of Riada Stockbrokers (Ireland) Ltd., part of the ABN AMRO Banking group. He has 20 years of senior level experience in capital markets, investment management, corporate banking and general financial services. Prior to Riada he held senior positions in J & E Davy Stockbrokers and with the Bank of Ireland.

He is a qualified accountant, a member of the Securities Institute (UK and Ireland) and a former member of the Institute of Bankers in Ireland.
Within Certification Europe he is responsible for finance and has a key role in developing business in the information security field.

Thomas Cooke
Non-Executive Director
An honours Business Studies graduate of Trinity College Dublin, Tom is a past employee of Coopers & Lybrand and the Industrial Development Authority where he was employed as a Project Executive advising both overseas and Irish owned companies across a broad range of business sectors. In 1983, with three colleagues, he established BCDM a Dublin based firm of Chartered Accountants and Management Consultants. This firm expanded rapidly and was subsequently merged with Binder Hamlyn & Co in 1988.

In 1988 Tom established his own private corporate consultancy company specialising in advising private companies. During the past 12 years Tom has not only established but has also become a director and shareholder in a number of Irish companies.
