Padraic White
Chairman
The former Managing Director of the Industrial Development Authority (IDA), Padraic is Chairman and Director of several private companies and is also Chairman of a number of public sector enterprise committees. He was instrumental in the establishment of the Dublin based Northside Area Development Partnership. He is a regular contributor on economic development matters in the national media, and author of the much-respected book on the phenomena of "The Celtic Tiger". He brings to Certification Europe a wealth of experience encompassing both the public and private sector.
Thomas Cooke

An honours Business Studies graduate of Trinity College Dublin, Tom is a past employee of Coopers & Lybrand and the Industrial Development Authority where he was employed as a Project Executive advising both overseas and Irish owned companies across a broad range of business sectors. In 1983, with three colleagues, he established BCDM a Dublin based firm of Chartered Accountants and Management Consultants. This firm expanded rapidly and was subsequently merged with Binder Hamlyn & Co in 1988. ((In 1988 Tom established his own private corporate consultancy company specialising in advising private companies. During the past 12 years Tom has not only established but has also become a director and shareholder in a number of Irish companies.
Michael Brophy
CEO
Michael is a graduate of the University of Ulster and the Universidad de Zaragoza, Spain and completed a Masters in European Policy and Regulation at Lancaster University in the UK. He was a founding member of the Centre for Corporate Environmental Management (CCEM) at the University of Huddersfield in the UK where as a Research Fellow, he lectured for three years in the School of Business on various management standards. ((Michael is one of Ireland's leading authorities on standardisation and has also served on various EU Commission committees as an expert in information security and electronic signature standardisation.
John Ryan
Commercial Director
A graduate of National Univesities Galway (B.Sc. General With Distinction) and Dublin (PhD), John began his career as a tutor within third level education and subsequently as a management system consultant to a range of commercial clients in Ireland. With particular expertise in environmental issues and standards he is a member of the Irish Environmental Standards Consultative Committee (ESCC) an external examiner (to the Institute of Technology Sligo) and an expert to the European SME representative group - UEAPME. A leading authority on energy management systems John had worked with clients and spoken internationally on this topic. An advocate of the importance of small businesses in society, John is a Director and Vice-Chair of ISME - Ireland's only independent SME representative organisation.
