Regulations
All of the AIC inspections we carry out are mandatory inspections and are enforced by legislation. The Legislation gives powers to develop mandatory best practice guides by which we use to as the criteria for conducting the inspection.
There are a number of guidance documents that have been developed by the EPA to support the AIC inspection scheme and these are listed in the relevant sections of this website. However if you need more information or are unclear on the applicability of the legislation then contact:-

Dry Cleaning Inspections
Owners of all Dry Cleaning operations should be aware that the Solvents Regulations 2002 require that their operations be inspected annually for Emission of Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) before 31st October each year.

Vehicle Refinishers
Owners of all Vehicle Refinishing operations should be aware that the Decorative Paints Regulations 2007 requires that their operations be inspected every two years Emission of Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) before 1st March 2010 . .
