“ISO 50001 Ireland” will highlight rising energy costs and the impact on the environment.
Certification Europe and Premier Business Media co-host leading energy event in the Aviva stadium that will provide delegates with information to dramatically reduce their energy use.
Ireland is one of the leading countries in Europe for adopting the ISO 50001 standard, with over 100 large energy users currently certified. On the 24th of April at the Aviva stadium, Certification Europe and Environment & Energy Magazine will hold Ireland’s premier ISO 50001 conference. This inaugural event will attract over 120 delegates to share information and insights about their experiences with ISO 50001.
“ISO 50001 Ireland” is Ireland’s only ISO 50001 energy event and as such it has attracted some of Europe’s top energy experts to help leading Irish businesses to undertake certification. Speakers come from political, legal, academic, business and industry backgrounds to help attendees understand every element of their energy use and to help them gain a significant competitive advantage in domestic and international business.
Ronan Glade, event organiser spoke enthusiastically ahead of this event,
“This event promises to be one of the most anticipated seminars on energy efficiency in 2013 and we conservatively estimate that our delegates command well over €1 Billion in energy consumption within Ireland. For even a small percentage to adopt the ISO50001 Standard would mean enormous savings for the companies, but also a considerable reduction in Ireland’s carbon footprint!”
The energy savings from the energy system management systems employed by the ISO 50001 standard offer massive reductions in costs, estimates are expected to be between 20% and 55% depending on the nature of the company’s business.
Ciaran O’Malley, ISO 50001 expert from Certification Europe explained why his business chose to become involved with this project.
“We have seen the success stories that our clients have had with ISO 50001 certification, these energy savings represent millions of Euro each year and have not only helped our customers to reduce their costs but it has also helped Ireland towards it EU mandated goals of a 20% cut in greenhouse gas emissions by 2020, a 20% increase in use of renewable energy by 2020 and a 20% cut in energy consumption through improved energy efficiency by 2020.
In a day where rising energy costs and the impact on the environment is becoming more important to control ISO 50001 certification gives us the method to ensure our businesses become economically and environmentally more sustainable.”
