Operation Waste House Project

waste collection with bin lorry

Introduction

This initiative was carried by our enforcement team based in Dublin City Council. This was the first time that a project of this nature was carried out in Ireland at Local Authority level.

Our team researches potential illegal operators advertising waste collection services through various mediums and carry out the appropriate surveillance and investigations.

Throughout the project, the team follow our standard operating procedures prepared specifically for this project.

If the alleged offenders are confirmed as illegal waste collectors, our team will take the appropriate enforcement action.

Project Outcome

This project promotes awareness of the requirement to hold a valid Waste Collection Permit for operators collecting waste. In addition, encourages compliance and allows us, on behalf of our client, to identify illegal waste collectors.
