Dr Luke Fenney
Luke has been the Director of Quality & Accreditation and a Knowledge, Information and Quality Management consultant with the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland Institute of Leadership since September 2006.
Luke has first class honours MSc in Quality & Safety in Healthcare and a professional doctorate from the University of Sunderland, UK. His area of research was the design and development of an integrated CQI framework for healthcare risk, incident & audit management.
Luke has lectured, trained and consulted on all aspects of healthcare knowledge & information management and quality, risk & patient safety management and systems in the Royal College of Surgeons, Trinity College Dublin, the USA and the Middle East and has extensive practitioner experience of quality management having implemented and worked to ISO 9001, IHSAB, JCI, Excellence Ireland (managing people & organisations), UAE MOHESR CAA and ISO 27001 quality standards. Luke is also a certified CHKS Healthcare Surveyor, ISO 27001 Information Security Management Systems Lead Auditor, a certified PRINCE2 Practitioner (Project Management) and a World Health Organization (WHO) consultant (risk management).

Conor Molloy
Conor Molloy is an independent energy advisor and trainer with an MSc in Energy Management and Renewable Energy from the University of Ulster, he is a Certified Energy Manager (CEM), Measurement & Verification Professional (CMVP) and trainer for ISO50001.

Simon Loughran
Simon provides specialist Information Security, Cyber Security and Data Security/ Privacy related services. Simon joined Certification Europe in 2009 as an ISO 27001 Lead Auditor and from August 2014 until December 2019 he was Head of Information Security Services. His role covered many different topical areas in support of and across the organisation, their existing services, service enhancements and also new service development in one of his roles as a specialist within the organisations Service Development team.
Prior to joining Certification Europe (in 2009) he was the Information Security Manager at BT (Ireland) and managed and was responsible for the effectiveness of their security profile with a variety of HMG security frameworks and their ISO 27001 ISMS. Simons experience includes, assessing clients’ information systems, cyber security controls and data protection requirements. His array of technical skills, knowledge of business risks and international client base allows him to work on bespoke projects to assist clients in achieving and improving upon their strategic goals and objectives.
Simon is an experienced professional specialising in information, cyber and data security who has also shared his experience at public events and online. Simon (within an initial managed services & IT engineering background) has over 25 years of practical and relevant experience across the following information & privacy security and cyber security domains, including but not limited to; (ISO) Management Systems, Governance, Compliance, Audit, Risk, Physical, Environmental, HR, Access & Identity Management, IT, Development, Technical Assessments, Continuity, and Penetration Testing, Cyber controls, Data Privacy, etc.
Simon has designed, implemented, supported, assessed, security tested and managed IT and information security, cyber security and data privacy management systems and their controls using a variety of pragmatic approaches for a global client base which includes industry leaders.
Simon’s client base includes national and international organisations in the Private and Public sectors and across a wide range of industries who have high service delivery expectations. A confident and able communicator he will engage and interact with Board level, C-Suite, Senior and Mid-level management through to operations. He brings all of his technical expertise together with his extensive experience to develop and deliver effective and intuitive advisory, assessment and training covering core aspects of information, cyber and data security.

Derek Mizak
Derek is a Cybersecurity researcher and consultant and currently is a PhD researcher in the application of Artificial Intelligence for Cybersecurity. Derek is our ISO 27001 Lead auditor.
His qualifications include MSc in Digital Investigation & Forensic Computing (UCD) and conducting PhD research in application of Artificial Intelligence for Cybersecurity whilst also being a lecturer of Cyber Security at DBS (Dublin Business School).

Ian Boylan
Ian is a recognised ISO 50001 expert. Director of Target Energy, he has been an active member of ISO TC301, the technical committee that wrote the ISO 50001 Energy Management Standard and is responsible for ISO standards related to energy management. He is also Chairperson of NSAI NMC59, the Irish mirror committee for energy management standards and was a key contributor to the recently updated IS 399/2022 Energy Efficient Design standard.
Ian is well known in the international energy world as he has undertaken energy consultancy and training work in many different countries, primarily in Europe and North America. He is a former President and Board Member of the Association of Energy Engineers and currently chairs their Global Guidance Committee.
Ian is an experienced Lead auditor to the ISO 50001 Standard, as well as being a technical expert with a particular expertise in the Pharmaceutical. Sector and highly regulated sectors.
As an expert in structured energy management, Ian has assisted numerous large corporations in developing their energy management approaches and systems leading to large energy savings for the organisation and minimising bureaucracy. He has also a particular expertise in Measurement & Verification.
Ian has worked for Certification Europe on a consultancy basis for many years from the early days of the IS393 standard through EN16001, ISO 50001/2011 to ISO 50001/2018 and IS399/2022. His knowledge and experience in Energy Management Systems covers the range from being a key contributor to writing of the energy management standard, conducting technical energy audits of facilities, developing Energy Management systems and approaches, being audited against the Energy Management Standard and auditing energy management systems against the requirements of the ISO 50001 and IS399 standards. For this reason Ian is the expert that delivers Certification Europe Lead Auditor training.

Clive Nightingale
Clive has over 30 years’ experience auditing in the field of management systems standards being qualified as a lead auditor in the fields of Information Security, Quality, Business Continuity and Service Management.
Since 1991 his portfolio of audit expertise has incorporated BS 7799 and subsequently ISO 27001 (Information Security Management) and ISO 20000-1 (Service Management) and ISO 38500 (IT Governance standard). The development of the new European Directive 1999/93/EC for the use and application of E-Signatures (Cryptography) became an addition to the list of accredited, witnessed assessments. This audit was carried out by the Irish National Accreditation Board (INAB) and resulted in Clive becoming one of two auditors who have been independently audited to determine competence of knowledge on this directive.
During this period, Clive also worked directly with major international organizations in the development and implementation of quality management systems, information security systems and service management systems. Each of the management systems where successfully certified to the relative international standards. Clive has presented papers and lectured internationally in UK, Ireland, Russia, America, India, South Korea and Lebanon on Quality Systems, Security Management Systems, Service Management Systems and International Standards.
He has been a Principal Lecturer for Auditor Training Programmes on ISO 9001/TickIT, ISO 27001, ISO 22301 and ISO 20000-1, resulting in the training of TickIT Auditors and Internal Auditors for the four standards.
