ISO 45001:2018 – Implementation Training

ISO 45001:2018 is the most up-to-date international Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S) management system standard. The standard is aimed at enabling organisations to better manage their OH&S risks and to improve their OH&S performance. This training course is designed to fully explain the ISO 45001:2018 Standard and leave participants with a solid road map for what is required to both implement and manage the standard within your organisation.

  • How to implement the specific occupational health and safety management-related requirements of ISO 45001.
  • Context of the organization.
  • Leadership and commitment.
  • Health and safety policy.
  • Occupational health and safety objectives.
  • Hazard Identification and assessment of risks.
  • Resources and support.
  • Outsourced processes, products and services.
  • Operational planning and controls.
  • Monitoring, measurement, analysis and evaluation solutions.
  • Incidents and emergency situations.
  • The occupational health and safety management system certification process.
  • Examples of relevant occupational health and safety management system documentation will be shown throughout the course.

Learning Outcomes

The training plan will allow the observer to follow the series of modules/topics that will be completed. The balance of time allocated to each module may be included. For longer courses each module should have a title, a level, module aim and module objectives.

Catherine has been working in standards and compliance for over 25 years, beginning with implementation of ISO Standards in a number of companies in the UK. Moving on to become a Lead Certification Assessor working within British Standards Institute and more recently with Certification Europe Ltd.
Catherine’s experience includes working within varied industries and standards covering Quality (ISO 9001), Environmental (ISO 14001), Health & Safety (ISO 45001), Business Continuity (ISO 22301), IT Service Management (ISO 20000), Information Security (ISO 27001) & Privacy Information Systems (ISO 27701). This knowledge of different standards and how to apply them across a wide range of companies together with both consultancy and assessing experience has led Catherine into developing and delivering training. Her main priority is to break down the requirements of the standards and demystify them in order for clients to implement and maintain a management system that fits their environment.
