ISO 9001 Awareness Training

Understanding the requirements of a standard can be a daunting task, particularly if you are new to Quality Management Systems. ISO 9001:2015 places emphasis on the involvement of leaders and managers in the planning and operation of systems, so there is no better time to participate in ISO 9001:2015 Awareness Training. This course is delivered remotely and is designed in a simplistic fashion so that you can gain the necessary knowledge of ISO 9001:2015. Whether you are new to quality management systems or if you need to gain more awareness of ISO.

  • Introduction to ISO 9001:2015.
  • Quality Management Principles – Customer Focus, Leadership and Engagement of People, Process Approach, Improvement, Evidence-based Decision Making and Relationship Management.
  • Risk-based thinking, PDCA Cycle and the Process Approach.
  • Major differences between ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 9001:2015.
  • Clause 4 – Context of the Organisation.
  • Clause 5 – Leadership.
  • Clause 6 – Planning.
  • Clause 7 – Support.
  • Clause 8 – Operations.
  • Clause 9 – Performance Evaluation.
  • Clause 10 – Improvement.

Learning Outcomes

  • The definition of what a quality management system is.
  • The 7 Quality Management Principles that provide the foundation for ISO 9001:2015.
  • The key differences between ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 9001:2015.
  • An understanding of clauses 4-10 in the standard including context of the Organisation and
  • The roles and responsibilities of Leadership.

Catherine has been working in standards and compliance for over 25 years, beginning with implementation of ISO Standards in a number of companies in the UK. Moving on to become a Lead Certification Assessor working within British Standards Institute and more recently with Certification Europe Ltd.
Catherine’s experience includes working within varied industries and standards covering Quality (ISO 9001), Environmental (ISO 14001), Health & Safety (ISO 45001), Business Continuity (ISO 22301), IT Service Management (ISO 20000), Information Security (ISO 27001) & Privacy Information Systems (ISO 27701). This knowledge of different standards and how to apply them across a wide range of companies together with both consultancy and assessing experience has led Catherine into developing and delivering training. Her main priority is to breakdown the requirements of the standards and demystify them in order for clients to implement and maintain a management system that fits their environment.
